Bake Sale Raises Funds for Bryan A. Fazio Scholarship on Veterans Day

By Gustav Deutsch on Nov 13, 2013

Brandman University employees and students at the Irvine campus celebrated Veteran’s Day by raising $1,448.05 for the Bryan A. Fazio Scholarship Fund with a bake sale. Navy Veteran Bryan Fazio is a recent Brandman graduate, who when given a terminal diagnosis of Stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, still pursued and earned his MBA this past summer. Brandman officials were so touched by his story of perseverance that they have decided to award a scholarship each fall to veterans attending Brandman who have a medical condition or disability.

Brandman employees post at eh Bryan Fazio bake saleBrandman employees purchased $498.05 in delicious goodies, while donating another $950.00. The University not only matched the donations, but added a little more for a one-day grand total of $3,000.00.

Along with the $5,000 that Brandman University recently committed to the Bryan A. Fazio Scholarship Fund, there is now a total of $8,000.00 ear marked for future use.

We are happy to report that Bryan's recovery is going very well and he is currently in remission.
