Brandman Portrait Dedication Ceremony

By Anonymous on Feb 26, 2013

Members of the Board of Regents took time this week to dedicate a special new portrait of Saul and Joyce Brandman that is now gracing the walls of the central administration building in Irvine. Mr. Brandman was a successful Orange County businessman who founded the Brandman Foundation. After his passing in 2008, Joyce took over as the President of the Foundation. The Brandman's made a very generous gift to the university, which is why our institution is named Brandman University. Brandman Hub was there for the dedication and Joyce was kind enough to share a few words with us. See the video below.

Next to the portrait is a special message that reads: "The Brandman Foundation has supported countless charitable endeavors in the spirit of its founder, Saul Brandman. His passionate commitment to education is a driving force for the Foundation. Since his passing in 2008, Joyce Brandman has served as the Brandman Foundation president, working tirelessly to support nonprofit organizations that are making a significant impact in communities around the world. The foundation’s $10,000,000 gift has enabled our institution to help countless students achieve their dreams.

On January 13, 2009 the Board of Regents recognized the foundations incredible gift by naming our institution Brandman University."

The generous gift from the Brandman Foundation has helped us transform the lives of countless students.
