Brandman University employees and students at the Irvine campus celebrated Veteran’s Day by raising $1,448.05 for the Bryan A. Fazio Scholarship Fund with a bake sale. Navy Veteran Bryan Fazio is a recent Brandman graduate, who when given a terminal diagnosis of Stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, still pursued and earned his MBA this past summer.

Meet Reneisha Wilkes: Brandman Staff Member With a HUGE Heart

Reneisha Wilkes is a One Stop service representative at the Central Administration building in Irvine. Helping students is a rewarding job, she says. That's no surprise to those who know her well - in fact, she's spent most of her adult life helping others. Reneisha is truly an inspiration. Among the many other ways she helps others in need, Reneisha set up a ride-share program to help Veterans get to doctor appointments and to the grocery store. She has been recognized by the California Senate for her service to the community, and she was named Volunteer of the Year by Ellen DeGeneres. Watch the video for her story. Brandman Portrait Dedication Ceremony

Members of the Board of Regents took time this week to dedicate a special new portrait of Saul and Joyce Brandman that is now gracing the walls of the central administration building in Irvine. Mr. Brandman was a successful Orange County businessman who founded the Brandman Foundation. After his passing in 2008, Joyce took over as the President of the Foundation. The Brandman's made a very generous gift to the university, which is why our institution is named Brandman University. Brandman Hub was there for the dedication and Joyce was kind enough to share a few words with us. See the video below.

Nursing Students Gather in Irvine for Immersion

For nursing students at Brandman, the majority of coursework is done online, so students and faculty can continue working full time while pursing a degree. The online work is complemented by periodic in-person immersion sessions at the main campus in Irvine. This week, students in the doctorate program came to Irvine from all over the country and Brandman Hub caught up with a few of them to talk about nursing at Brandman. The video highlights Dr. Renee McLeod, Dean of the Musco School of Nursing & Health Professions, DNP students Joanne Goodchild and Renee Marque, and Dr. Mary Mackenburg-Mohn, a nursing faculty member.
